Saudi 2034
Story of Nation
This pilot episode marks the beginning of a long-form animated series designed to explore defining chapters in Saudi Arabia’s history, gradually leading into the present around 2030 and continuing toward 2034. Set in the ancient landscapes of AlUla, the film introduces a world where history is not something to remember, but something to carry forward. With stylized 2D characters and cinematic 3D environments, it captures the essence of a nation rooted in its past and intentional about its future.
The art direction balances warmth and monumentality—natural textures, golden light, sculptural geography. Characters are symbolic rather than literal. They don’t speak, yet the scenes speak for them. The crystal motif is carried throughout the journey as a visual metaphor for legacy—protected, passed on, and embedded in the land.
This is not an isolated story. It is the foundation of a ten-year narrative project aligned with Vision 2030 and culminating in the 2034 FIFA World Cup. Each episode will explore a different chapter in Saudi Arabia’s evolution, from heritage sites to national milestones.
The importance of this work goes beyond design and production. It offers a cultural reference point for Saudis and for the world—an honest, visual archive of a nation’s story told on its own terms. It affirms a legacy. It holds ground. And over time, it becomes part of that legacy itself.
